Federica Chiocchetti is a writer, photography critic, editor and curator. She is the founding director of the photo-literary platform Photocaptionist. Currently she is writing her PhD on photography, fictions and text, at the University of Westminster, London, under the supervision of professor and artist David Bate. She works independently and for international institutions, collections, festivals and fairs, including the Kunsthalle Budapest, the V&A, Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery, Brighton Photo Biennial, the London Art Fair and the Archive of Modern Conflict. Her most recent projects include the exhibitions ‘Feminine Masculine: on the Struggle and Fascination of Dealing with the Other Sex’, curated for Photo50 within the 2016 London Art Fair, 'P.H. Emerson: Presented by the Author', curated while she was the 2015 Art Fund Curatorial Fellowship (Photographs) at the V&A and the exhibition and book ‘Amore e Piombo’, co-edited with Roger Hargreaves for the Archive of Modern Conflict and Brighton Photo Biennial, winner of the Kraszna Krausz 2015 Best Photography Book Award. Her writings have appeared on a number of international magazines, including Der Greif, Photoworks and Foam.
LOLA MAC DOUGALL
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR AND CO-CURATOR
Lola Mac Dougall is an India-based Spanish cultural manager with a specialization in photography. With Frank Kalero, she co-founded Punctum (www.punctumasia.blogspot.in) a magazine devoted to Asian photography. In 2015, she co-founded GoaPhoto an international photography festival presenting outdoor site-specific exhibitions. In 2016, she lauched JaipurPhoto. Lola has a doctorate from Barcelona's Pompeu Fabra Univesity, with a doctoral thesis dealing with Indian women photographers.
Nikhil is a documentary film maker and develops multimedia content for exhibitions. He has overseen the creation of large photography and graphic design exhibitions in Europe and in India, and has worked closely with the European Commission to promote cultural ties and exchanges between Europe and South Asia. He is the proprietor of Orange Cat Productions, which has previously produced Goa Photo: www.goaphoto.in
